Ocean Beach Resort, is Halong Bay’s only Private Eco-Island Beach Resort. It is located 3 miles south-east of Cat Ba, the largest eastern island in Halong Bay and a UNESCO recognized World Biosphere Reserve.

The resort is divided into two separate areas over two different beaches. The beach facing Cat Ba town is Sunrise Beach, and the other, directed toward the East Sea, is Sunset Beach.

The Sunrise Beach, which covers 1800m2 and is 180 meters long, has 7 two-floor cottages, a bar and a restaurant made from all-natural materials. It provides an amazing, and private, picturesque view of the peaceful bay, where Cat Ba’s distant coast is spotted with fishing boats and surrounded by hundreds of islets.

The Sunset Beach, which covers 600m2 and is 80 meters long, has only 2 cottages and a mini beach bar; the perfect spot to let the sea remind you how mighty and peaceful it is. Sitting here on this private beach, inhale and enjoy a spectacular view of the sea while the sun slips away, casting fiery hues of orange and red; surely a dream moment for anyone!
All of the bungalows are made from all-natural materials and everything is designed to complement the natural surroundings. With its cozy ambiance and traditional Vietnamese-style accommodation (and not a bit of concrete in sight!), this is definitely an idyllic place to recharge frayed nerves.

Getting There I. Ha Noi – Halong – Cat Ba
- This route can not be done in a day so it is better to join our regular daily group trip.

II. Ha Noi – Haphong – Cat Ba
- This route takes only 3 hours and there are several local public transport options, as timetabled as below:

1. In the Morning:

? Hanoi – Hai Phong:
- Bus leaves to Hai Phong city from Luong Yen bus station every 30 minutes. The best company is Hoang Long Co.

Ltd and costs 40.000vnd each way ( 2.50 US$ )

? Hai Phong – Cat Ba:
- There is only one Express Boat:
Departs from Ben Binh at around 9.00am and it takes 50min. It cost 90.000vnd ( 6.00US$ ).

- Local Public Slow Boat:
- Departs from Ben Binh at 12.00 and it takes nearly 3hrs. It cost 90.000vnd ( 6.00US$ ).

o Hoang Long Co. Ltd has regular transport to Cat Ba as per the timetable and route below:

- In the morning, depart at 8.00am and 10.00am
- In the afternoon, depart at 2.00pm and 4.00pm.

- Hai Phong - Dinh Vu – Phu Long - Cat Ba:
Bus leaves from 4 Le Thanh Tong, Hai Phong, to Dinh Vu Ferry Port. Then take a hydrofoil to Phu Long Ferry Port

where the bus will drive to Cat Ba, passing the National Park. All inclusive cost: 90.000vnd.
Parking Ocean Beach Resort is located on a small island. we have a boat to pick up customer from Catba island to our Resort.

Business Facilities

The Sunrise Beach
The beach consists of six huts that are made entirely of native materials. Of course our designers have incorporated many contemporary touches for your comfort, but our accommodation remains a unique and delightful experience. All rooms have a ceiling fan and their own private shower and toilet, with personal staff assigned to look after every need throughout your stay. None of our rooms are air-conditioned; we make use of "natural" air conditioning!
Panorama View House

This is the only building on the island’s hill and provides luxurious privacy with 3 semi-detached living spaces, each with a double bed and a very big sofa (which can be used as an extra single bed). Each room has a spacious balcony with a splendid view of the sea, ceiling fan, and a nice big bathroom; a truly unique experience.

The room itself is perfectly intimate and allows the residents to really feel a part of the surrounding trees and "jungle". The rooms even have an amazing sea view when lying on the bed!

This house is perfect for couples who want to get way from it all and really enjoy the quiet atmosphere and amazing canopy of stars.


Beach Front Garden House

The Beach Front Garden House is the same as Panorama House but is located in the centre of the beach, near to the restaurant. We think it would be the perfect choice for guest with young children.

The Beach Front Garden House has its own private balcony with great sea view … and a comfortable hammock to relax in!


Beach Site House

From the outside it looks similar to the Beach Front Garden House and is located just further down the Sunrise Beach. There are 4 of these houses, each with two living spaces, providing one double room and one twin room. Naturally each room has its own private toilet and bathroom, and ceiling fan, with a private balcony and a great sea view.


The Sunset Beach

Because of the special secluded location of this beach, our designers decided to develop a special Sunset layout for the two cottages here.

Featuring 100% natural materials, this beach will house just 2 bungalows - each with one extra-large room complete with a queen-size round bed, a child’s bed and a sitting area separated by a bamboo screen. Other facilities include a private toilet and bathroom, with hot shower, ceiling fan and a spacious private balcony. The two cottages are separated by a 10 metre garden to ensure maximum privacy.
